Terminal Inline Triggers
Terminal Inline Triggers let you insert file paths, saved shortcuts, or AI-generated commands directly into your input without switching context. Triggers work in the terminal input, Spotlight compose box, ACP compose box, and VibeCast compose box.
Using a trigger
- Type your configured trigger token in any supported input field.
- A picker opens showing options for the current context.
- Select an action and confirm your choice.
The result is inserted into your input for review before you send it.
Available actions
- Insert file or directory path — browse and select a path from your project.
- Insert saved shortcut — pick from your saved command shortcuts.
- Generate command — get an AI-generated command based on context.
