Multi-Window
CrispyVibe supports multiple windows for spreading your workspace across monitors or keeping reference material visible alongside your main work.
Detached board windows
Send terminal board tiles to separate windows for multi-monitor workflows:
- Right-click a tile header on the terminal board.
- Select Send to New Board Window or Send to Board Window (existing window).
- Each detached window is a board surface with its own tiles.
- Moving a tile removes it from the source and adds it to the target.
- Empty detached windows close automatically.
- Detached windows belong to the same VibeSpace — settings and navigation stay in the main window.
Window placement
Window geometry and display placement are saved per VibeSpace. On next launch, detached windows reopen on the same monitors where you left them (best-effort — if a monitor is unavailable, the window stays detached and can be repositioned manually).
Detached editor windows
Open files in independent floating windows:
- Right-click a file tab and choose Open in New Window, or use the detach action.
- Reopening the same file focuses the existing detached window instead of creating a duplicate.
- Detached editor windows support the same editing features as the main content viewer.
What stays in the main window
- VibeSpace Settings
- App Settings
- Project navigation and switching
- Detailed view layout (explorer + editor + terminal)
Detached windows are focused surfaces — they show board tiles or editor content only.
