Auto Updates

CrispyVibe uses Sparkle for automatic and manual update checking. Updates are verified with EdDSA signatures before installation. Update ordering uses the build number (monotonically increasing).

Automatic updates

• When enabled, CrispyVibe checks for updates on launch in the background
• The app remains usable during the check
• If a newer build is found, Sparkle presents the update UI

Manual check

1. Open the app menu.
2. Select Check for Updates…
3. Sparkle performs a fresh check and shows the result.

Settings

Open App Settings → Updates to:

• Toggle automatic update checks on or off
• Edit the appcast feed URL (advanced)
• Trigger Check for Updates Now

Troubleshooting

• If the check fails, verify your network connection. Sparkle reports invalid feed or network failures clearly.
• The appcast feed URL is configurable for enterprise environments that host their own update server.
